Put an end to uncomfortable stops under the overpass to put on the water-resistant suit!
If you are tired of the changing weather conditions and having to stop every time to add or remove the waterproof layer, the LAMINATOR-2 WP is the ideal solution. With fabrics taped together and completely 100% waterproof, your only concern will be enjoying the journey.
By definition, a laminated fabric is a fabric with a polyurethane coating that forms an actual membrane film that is applied to the inside of the fabric.
The adhesion between the outer fabric (nylon in the case of the LAMINATOR-2 WP suit) is given by a mechanical action due to pressure and heat, combined with a layer called HOT MELT that fastens the fabrics together.
The adhesion step is followed by a cooling step, which may be followed by another adhesion step or steps. Once finished, the process is inseparable and gives rise to a unique fabric with extremely soft and waterproof qualities.
Taping involves the application of sealing strips along all seams and joints of laminated fabrics.
In the LAMINATOR-2 WP suit, this technique is used to prevent any water seepage through the seams; in addition, the taping also helps to preserve the structural integrity of the fabric, ensuring consistent strength over time.
Laminated fabrics and taping bring an unquestionable advantage against rain and cold, but at Clover we always think of at least two things at once.
That’s why the LAMINATOR-2 WP suit has been equipped with ingenious ventilation systems that extend into the interior of the garment well beyond the visible surface, bringing considerable air recirculation inside a totally waterproof garment.
